Virginia, Nevada: E. Hurd, Photographer. 140 South C. Street, (n. d.). Ca 1872. Peach colored mount, with gold rule at the perimeter. Photographer imprint to verso. Photograph: 3-5/8" x 2-1/4". Mount: 4-1/4" x 2-1/2". Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve. Modest wear & soiling to mount. Photograph mildly faded, but not excessively so. Prior owner pencil annotation to verso, noting subject as B. F. Denton, who we presume is Benjamin F. Denton, a documented Virginia, Nevada resident from the period. A VG example. Item #52272
Scarce Nevada photographic imprint... We find no OCLC records for Hurd; Mautz records him, but has few details other than what is provided here.
