(n. p.): (n. d.). Off-white mount, rounded corners, with "Dickens" stamped underneath photograph, in lower margin. Image: 8.3 cm x 5.1 cm. Card: 10.1 cm x 6.6 cm. Now housed in a clear archival mylar sleeve. Modest wear & signs of handling to mount, image with a hint of yellowing. Two short strips of mounting tape, "Henry Y. Porter" stamp, & short mss note [see image], to card verso. Withal, a VG copy. Item #52111

Henry Y. Porter (c.1890-c.1950) "was employed by Tufts University as an accountant for many years. He was an active collector of theater, opera, and political memorabilia and portraits." [Tufts website].

Nice CDV of Dickens with the photograph affixed to stiffer card stock. Image shows Dickens formally dressed in coat & tie, seated, facing to the viewer's left.
