Volpi an Italian literary critic & Editor, who also was a professor at Padua starting in 1727. In 1717, along with his brother Gaetano, he began operating a publishing company, entrusted to the printer Joseph Comino, which produced works prized for the press and for the correctness of the texts. This volume addresses this later endeavor of Volpi's.
