A scarce Dealer’s showroom sample catalogue for the 1958 Chevrolet passenger cars. These included Corvettes, Impalas, Bel Airs, Biscaynes, Nomad Station Wagons, Brookwood Station Wagons, Delray models, and the Yeoman Station Wagons. The 1958 Chevrolet Bel Air, Chevrolet Delray, and Biscayne were better as well as bigger than the 1957 models, leaning more toward luxury. Quad headlights, the low silhouette which was nine inches longer and five inches lower, a stretched wheelbase, and heavier by 200 to 300 pounds. For the first time, the full size cars were offered with bigger engines than the Corvette, so the low-budget Delray could be powered with a 348, the forerunner to the iconic 409. The Impala was introduced in 1958 as a high-performance, high luxury trim option for the Bel Air, with big fins, quad headlights, and six tail lamps along with a lot of chrome. In 1959, the Impala was entirely redesigned, so the 1958 model year was unique. The 1958 Corvette featured hood louvers and twin trunk spears as well as a new steering wheel and dashboard.
