Not bound in was the Oakland section 8vo. 9-5/16" x 6". Publisher's binding, with black leather spine, gilt stamped lettering, over grey cloth boards, with black advert stamping. Title lettering on spine: "Husted's Alameda and Berkeley Directory 1895" Spine leather scuffed & rubbed, with 1" piece lose at top. Old gutter repair before title leaf. Title leaf & that with pages 11/12 with closed slit paralleling gutter. Encinal Bank stamp to top of 'Index of Advertisements' page. Withal, a VG copy of this scarce directory. Item #39093
An interesting volume, with the Oakland section omitted, apparently by the publisher albeit without an altered t.p., but with the ommission noted via the spine titling.
