With the engraved title leaf on yellow paper, image as pictured in BAL, after p. 412. 6 inserted illustrations on yellow paper. 12mo, signed in 6s. 19th C. deep maroon half leather binding with marbled paper boards. Black leather spine label. General signs of use, with abrasion to front board lower corner. Period bookplate ("J. R. Jaffray"). Very Good. Item #3890.1

Jaffray presumed to be the J R Jaffray, head of the prominent New York dry goods jobbers.
