The catalogue features both the Straight-Wing, and Tapered-Wing versions of Waco's "225" open cockpit bi-plane, so designated because it's powered by the Wright J-6 7-cylinder, 225 HP "Whirlwind" motor.
The company began business as Weaver Aircraft Company of Ohio in 1920 but changed its name to the Waco Aircraft Company in 1928/29. Waco "established themselves as producers of reliable, rugged planes that were popular with traveling businessmen, postal services and explorers…." The company ceased operations in 1947, "having suffered the fate of a number of general aviation companies when an anticipated boom in aviation failed to develop following World War II.” [Wiki]
