The "House" began operations in 1829, and continued its charitable & reformatory works until [our research indicates] 1911. Of note in this report are the numerous case histories, as well as letters from individuals with whom the indigent men, women & children were 'placed'. A valuable record for anyone conducting research into the attributes & efficacy of charity/reform organizations.
