New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1903. 1st edition (BAL 15391; Gullans & Espey 189). 548 pp, illustrated by George Wright, 8vo. Blue cloth with lt blue acorn design; lettered in gilt (design by Armstrong, unsigned). BAL Binding B. VG (cloth dull/owner name stamp on ffep/bookseller slip tipped in to ffep). Item #9180
BAL does not give a precedence to the either binding, though G & E does advocate (w/o giving evidence or rationale) the signed as the later issue (though one does wonder why MA would allow her monogram to be removed...?).
