Period maroon half-sheep over green marbled paper boards (professionally rebacked, with new eps). Usual foxing. A few proud gatherings. Professionally repaired tear on title leaf. Withal, a VG copy. Herein we find Dickens' second essay reprinted from London's Monthly Magazine, which, for a time, was billed as his first US appearance in print, however, we now know this Dickens' second appearance with a US publisher, preceded only by appearance(s) in the Albion.
