Brownish-black book-ribbed cloth; front & back covers stamped entirely in blank with a triple-lined border which encloses a frame with decorative floral designs in each corner and an elaborate diamond-shaped design in the center; the spine is stamped in blind with four sets of double bands, plus two spearate ones at its foot. Gilt stamped spine lettering, with gilt stamped figure under "Tale Of". Pale yellow eps. NB. This spefici book is pictured in Smith, p. 353. Volume cocked, rebacked at some point in the past.
