Rare end-of-war guide to horse care by one George Colby, who served in both an Infantry and a Cavalry (21st PA) regiment between August of 1862 and July of 1865. Colby had also served as a Private in Co. K of the 126th PA. Infantry at Fredericksburg's Marye's Heights charge, through the infamous Mud March, and at Chancellorsville, VA.
