A souvenir menu celebrating Carnegie's attendance at this gathering, who "spoke of his debt to the engineers and the chemists for their part in all his industrial success" and an evening which was later judged thusly, "... the excellence of the speeches and of the music .. and the perfection of the menu and service made the occasion one of the most enjoyable and successful ever held by the Club."
