The envelope is from the Shaftesbury Temperance Hotel in Liverpool. The envelope is addressed to the Canadian bank of Commerce in British Columbia.
The card for the West Central (First Class) Temperance Hotel has a brief history of the hotel and the Proprietor (Frederic Smith) to verso.
The card for the Temperance House in Niagara Falls has a "Places of Interest with distance from G. T. Station" on the verso. Places include Clifton House, Burning Spring, Chippawa Village, Whirlpool, Brock's Monument and Niagara Town.
The Robinson House card advertises that it is only a dollar per day! On the verso reads a pencil inscription " I'm Late - Mary".
The Phelps' Temperance Dining Rooms card has a cute illustration of a little dog and bird sitting in a bunch of flowers.
The Temperance Lunch and Dining Rooms in Utica, N.Y. advertises by saying "The neatest and Best in the City" and "First Class Dinners - A Specialty." With a disturbing but comical illustration of a chicken looking at a turkey dinner!
