San Juan Capistrano: [Fred Harvey]. Yogg & Co. Litho. (n. d.). Circa mid-1960s. Single leaf, text printed to verso. 10" x 14". Die-cut menu in the shape of a clown with big ears and a partially detaching nose. Creasing and light toning to right "ear"; minor wear else. VG. Item #43831
A children's menu that presumably doubled as a mask, with big ear "handles," holes for eyes, and a partially detached nose. Although the restaurant would later shift to Mexican fare following its chef's service for President Nixon, the meals offered here are purely American, each served with fruit cocktail, salad, and milk, but with different meat entrees and desserts. Included are the Bunkhouse Special, King Neptune, Skin Diver, Billy the Kid and The Shepherd, all for $2.00 or $2.25.
