Caspar Wistar Hodgson was the founder of The World Book Company, as well as an ardent naturalist and owner of two remarkable estates: Kanyonkrag, in New York, and Sohlohnee ranch, a former Indian rancheria in California's Sierra national forest, about 12 miles from Yosemite. This brochure/ New Year's greeting primarily features images of the Hodgson children on the grounds at Kanyonkrag, as well as the estates Japanese gates.
