"All this fervent clamor, however, is obscuring the fact that most Americans, and especially the more ardent war critics, have given little or no thought to the price this country would pay if total withdrawal should occur so swiftly as to allow Hanoi to overwhelm South Vietnam and vent crushing reprisals against millions of its residing peoples. There is no certainty that this talked-of slaughter would occur, but the well documented obliteration by Hanoi of its own internal enemies and fermentors of trouble is a frightening signal." The pamphlet describes in graphic detail the slaughter many Viet Cong soldiers performed on innocents.
