A typed manuscript travelogue, written by the wife/mother of her family's 3-month Chalmers automobile trip from New Jersey up through New England, with the stated "objective point ... the White Mountains."
The author somewhat an amateur storyteller, who, at the beginning, opines: "There is something about automobiles and women that tempt philosophizing: the analogies are good. For instance: Some come high, some are quite reasonable; some come already equipped with good engine, wind shield, and cover against the story, very cheap. If it is a short life and a merry one, get a speeder.she is easy to get rid of."
So begins the recorder of this journal, wherein this anonymous family's vacation is engagingly chronicled.
